Over the last week we have been looking at graphs and it is about our school uniform and  this slide is about how many of each size we need.

He first staryted out hunter he had a horse he could shoot 2 deer and put it on the horse and tell it to go home he could then shoot another deer and carry it back to his house and he would the tack it to the town and sell the meat but some of the deer he shoot had some

BBQ TABLES

Dear Mrs Beaumont

Sheppard house has been looking at getting some BBQ tables for our lunch eating area, so at lunch eating we can socialise with friends.            

We need BBQ tables so that we can socialise at lunch and talk to all of our friends instead of just the people that are sitting next to us. We could also have some teaching time outside if we wanted to and also that way everyone could sit on a seat and not have to sit on the dirty floor. The best bit of all would be that we would have something to put our lunch box on instead of putting it on our laps. It’s annoying that sometimes our lunch boxes fall off our laps and all our food goes on the ground and then we can't eat most of the food that has fallen on the floor..

We have some ideas how we could get the money: Having a house sausage sizzle and the class bring the sausages for that. Some children could also do some jobs around home and bring the money to school. We could sell some raffle tickets to the parents of the sheppard house children.  

If we have some leftover money could go to getting some p.e. Equipment for everyone to use it could go toward getting some table cloths for the tables so they do not get to dirty and marked. It could go to the children that can not afford school uniform so they could come to school in some proper school uniform. It could get some more spare school uniform at the office so if the student get their school uniform dirty they could go get a clean pair on.

I hope you consider letting the sheppard house get some BBQ tables for us thank you.

what you have to do is get fill your bowl with your water and then you get the neddle and the magnet and rub the needle on the magnet and put it on the cork and then put it on the water and it will then point to northand south it does this because of the magnetic feild that is all over the world and it is in the core of the earth too and that is why.
Magnets can also attract and repel from each other this happens because on each magnet there is a north and south side on the magnet these are from the north and south pole. like this magnet. This means that with the magnetic field that goes around the world controls the magnet.

We had to work together and everyone had to participate and help along building the machines.

Everyone had to use the REACH values as well. Everyone needed to do something! It was our responsibility to bring the stuff we needed , so that tells that we also used the M in the T.R.U.M.P values.

TEAMWORK was the main thing , because someone that didn't help , wouldn't get much credit if they just sit there and if it failed , everyone had to give spirit and keep moving forward.

Our first idea wasn't the best , and it was a problem because we were a little far behind , we took a few more ideas and suddenly we found a good idea and it would work. We had to go through redoing domino's , raging silently and holding the ball as still as we could. It was annoying , but we managed and did not fail.

Yes , in the video we got it first try , so now you know , that team spirit keeps everyone moving forward.

Speech

Over the last week we have been writing our speechs and then reading them out to the class and this is my speech.

  Have you been immunised yet?

Well if you haven't you are putting people at risk to get those horrible sickness  like whooping cough, flu, measles, and much much more.

These are the ages that you have to be immunized at First is at birth and then you get your second immunized at 2 months old and then 4 months old and then 6 months old and then at one year old and then at 15 months old and then at 18 months old and then at 4-5 years old and then at 11-12 years old and then at 16 years old and then at 18 years old but then your last one is at 65-68 years old.

You usually get immunized at school or at the doctors.

They do not hurt that much it just feels like a little pinch but some people get allergic reactions the chance of that is very very small.

 We need to be immunized because Some diseases that once injured or killed thousands of children like polio and Tetanus have been eliminated fully because of immunizations and if everyone gets immunized one day every disease might be gone.

We need to be immunized against Whooping cough, mumps, measles, rubella, tetanus, diphtheria, polio.

. There are very small amount of children who should not be immunized however if you had a serious reaction to the immunisation or have been treated to cancer over the last year you should go and talk to your doctor the people that can bi immunized should be because if they don't they could spread the disease to others that can not

If you have not been immunized you can go to your local doctor's and get one organised because it is worth it So get immunised.

This is my emergency light look at how good my soildering is. On the front I have put a police sirion an I have put red and blus lights on it there it is.

All i need to do now is glue it to geather an be will be done.

Today in class

Today in class looking at lungs we have made some models the green balloon is the lung and the pink balloon is the diaphragm and that is a muscle that controls your breathing and the cup is the chest cavity and the straw is the trachea which help inhale and exhale the air from your lung  .

How it works

If you pull down the pink balloon the green balloon inflates and when you let the pink balloon go it deflates and the air goes out the straw.

rugby skills

last week in P.E we were looking at how to play rugby. we mostly looked at passing and catching the ball. here is a video and photo of us passing the rugby ball when we passed the ball we had to have our hands is a specific and we had to be in front of the person we were passing to. go

Today in reading we looked at easy ways to use google and i thought the most useful one was the one where you  put the minus symbol and then the word that you do not want eg{jaguar -car}and it will not search car and it will have more about the animal if you want the animal or eg{jaguar - animal}and it will come up about the car here are some more tips

Hardtack

In term one for our inquiry was anzac and we could chose an activity to do and i chose to do hardtack and it is a very hard cracker that the anzacs ate during the war and it lasts for years.

we made some and this is the recipe that we used :

5 cups of flour

1 1/2 cups of water

preheat oven to 180 degrees and cook for 30 minutes each side

after that we had to make a presentation about what we did to make the hardtack and some other things

Powhiri

The karanga called on the manuhiri came and sat down then fergus stood and spoke then room 12B sung a witata and then room 12B sat down .   Then room 6 stood up and stood up and spook and then they sang a song then they sat down. fergus said koha hongi. We presented our banner and then room 6 shared their banner. and  they came over  to our class and then the other class looked at what we were were doing in class and then after that we shared food and then when that finished the other class left our class and it was all over.

First aid electronics

Today 3/5/2016 was my first day at electronics I looked at the GET READY GET THRU website and learned how to be prepared for an emergency.

To be fully prepared for emergency you have got to have 3 liters of water each  day for each person, a working flashlight and more batteries and food and water for three days some dry sleeping bags and strong shoes plus if you have a pet have 1 more liter per pet.

my family has four people and and one dog they need three liters but the dog needs 1  a day so my family need 37 liters.

over the last week we have been looking at shapes and angles mr billings made 10 different shapes and then we had to measure all. Once we had finished  that we made some triangles and quadrilaterals all the triangles angles added equal 180 degrees and all the quadrilaterals equal 360 degrees here is a photo of them.

once we made these shapes we had to measure all the sides the three sided shapes all equaled 180 degrees and all the four sided shapes equaled 360 degrees.   

 

money money money money

In class we had to make up a piece of writing and we had to include 10 different words and those where :Fun Run Billings Unicorns Santa and we only had 10 minutes to write our story. Our focus was getting down ideas. this is the photo we looked at.

one day mr billings was looking up in the an he saw some magical flying unicorn he was so surprised because last night ne saw santa in the sky too and when santa landed on this roof he went up there and played with him he was having so much fun and then santa and him went for a run santa got so tired so he had to have a sleep in the morning half of the world had no presents and it was all mr billings fault but mr billings did not care what happened because while  santa was a sleep he took the rest of the world's toys and stuff the end.

Maths Place Value

The other day my class and i did a maths game online which involved addition and place value .
A number was randomly drawn and we had to reach a target number using addition and subtraction in less than 20 terns. There were different modes you could do. We could choose from whole numbers to thousands.

my first writing sample

mr billings set us a task of writing a short piece of writing we could choose what we wanted to write

i wrote about some old treasure here it is.

    One day three exploros went out exploring in a cave trying to find an old treasure thousands of years old and very deep in the ground they needed to find some clues.So they went on a search for a clue.They found some old  markings in the wall and it said you will find the treasure at the end of a secret passageway in a deep hole you will have to find your way down.So they went of to find the secret passageway they where looking for a very long time they found the passageway undeder a big cobweb they when throught a little tunnle and found a staircase that someone had built all ready but it was really old so when the exploros stepped on it it. Broke so they had to build a elevator out of wood  and roots to slowly lift them down they went down the  hole when they got to the bottom of the hole they got off the elevator they went into a room it was empty there was no treasure  but there was a key on a table in the middle of the room the explorers picked up the key and  inspected the room .They found  a hole in the wall they put the key in it and turned the key to open the door the room was full of old treasure the explorers went to look around they found things like old scrolls, gold tombstones ,gold bowls ,knives and forks from thousands of years ago. Once they had looked around they asked some of there best friends to help them to take all the treasure up to the surface and they put all the treasure in a national  museum and got billions of dollars .After that they bought lots of things with that money like  a house in the countryside, and a nice new car. they had lived in the house for a very long time.
